Our community is only as good as the volunteers who serve on the various
committees. The Fountain Hills Community Association Board of Directors
is seeking adult residents to serve as volunteers on the Landscaping, Newsletter,
Pool and Social Committee. In the past, members of these committees have contributed
greatly to the attractiveness of our community by working with the Board, the
management company, and various contractors to maintain and improve the Fountain
Hills community.
If you are interested in voluntering, please provide your name, address
and telephone number to Stephon
Collins at Vanguard Management. No special skills are needed,
but please highlight any special interests or experience you have in
your message to Stephon.
The Fountain Hills Community Association held its election for Board
of Directors at the annual meeting on November 1st.
Each year, all seats on the Board of Directors are up for election. The
primary
business of the meeting was the election
of seven individuals to serve a term of one year.
Results
of the election are as follows:
- Tom McDowell, President
- Siu Poon, Vice President
- Frank Walsh, Secretary
- David Holtzman, Treasurer
- Sue Adamkiewicz, Director
- Alice Kalamar, Director
Vacant Board of Directors Position
As there were only six candiates who
ran for the Board, one seat is vacant. All homeowners
interested in applying for the vacant board position
should submit a letter of interest either by email
or regular mail to the Board of Directors via Vanguard
Management. As always, all
residents are encourged to attend the Board
of Directors meetings held
on the first Thursday of each month.

Pet owners are reminded that they should
walk their pets away from neighbors homes, playgrounds
and high-traffic areas. Without continued vigilance
by residents, deposits of animal waste could become
a significant nuisance and a potential health hazard.
Montgomery County law requires that
pets should be on a leash or under the owner’s
control at all times. County
Law also requires dog owners to
pick-up and properly dispose of dog waste.
The Board asks residents to please pickup and dispose
of papers and other trash that might be found in common areas, easements,
roadways and alleys near your home.
Windy trash and recycling pickup days often lead to the
scattering of trash, newspapers, plastic bottles, etc. Thank you for
helping keep Fountain Hills Community clean.
Please be aware that County collection
regulations require that all materials prepared for
collections must be at curbside no later than 7:00am
on your designated trash and/or recycling day. All materials
prepared for
collection must not be set out earlier than 5:00pm
the day before your collection day. Recycling containers
must be removed from the collection location no later
than 5:00pm the day after. more>
Special parking rules have been in effect
since November 1, 2006, for
residents in the Lake Geneva Way/Mediterranean Drive section of Fountain
Hills. Briefly, each household will be issued a "hang tag" which
must
be displayed on any vehicle not parked in the resident's number spaces
or, for garage townhomes, on the resident's driveway or in their garage.
Vehicles not having a properly displayed hang tag that
are parked in
unnumbered spaces overnight will be subject to towing, subject to
Montgomery County's towing ordinance. Please review
this policy carefully.
